Diesel-powered welder/generators
KUBOTA Tractor Australia has announced the arrival of new diesel powered 5.5kVA generators and welder/generators.
Both the DA5500E generator and DW160E welder/generator utilise a 9.5 horsepower Kubota OC95 diesel engine.
Incorporating Kubota’s exclusive Three Vortex Combustion System (E-TVCS) this indirect injection engine achieves an extremely thorough burn of the air/fuel mixture to produce less emissions and improve fuel economy.
As the engine is oil/air cooled, the need for regular checking of coolant levels and fanbelt adjustment is eliminated while ignition and carburation system worries are relegated to a thing of the past.

Coupling the engine to the Mecc Alte alternator with less than 7% wave form variation, makes these units suitable for most stand-by power applications. The DA5500E generator features electric start, a 5.5-litre fuel tank and a low noise level of only 77dBA.
For the serious handyman or “Weekend Warrior” the DW160E welder/generator is effectively a “3 in 1″ unit - it’s a 5.5kVA generator, a welder with 160 amp welding capacity (60% duty cycle) and a 10 amp battery charger.
The DW160E has a 5 metre lead and 400 amp handpiece as standard making it a true “ready to go” welder.
Both units feature a heavy-duty roll over frame with full base plate to protect the alternator and engine against damage.
Options include a recoil kit for electric start with recoil back up, RCD (safety switch), centre lift brackets, and weatherproof receptacles.
Each unit is covered by a 2-year warranty and backed by a nation wide dealer network.
